Roma have submitted an official offer for Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee, according to trusted Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The proposal, delivered through an intermediary, is for a loan deal with an option that could turn into a mandatory purchase. Zirkzee has already reached a personal agreement with AS Roma and is eager to join the Serie A side, with the final decision now resting with Manchester United.
Earlier reports indicated that Roma are prepared to pay €5 million for a six-month loan, along with an additional €35 million to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season.
While the situation remains open, the player’s green light for the move is seen as a major advantage for Roma as they look to strengthen their attacking options.
Zirkzee has struggled for regular playing time under Ruben Amorim and views a move to Serie A as a potential career revival, as well as a chance to regain his place in the Netherlands national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
