Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal were held to a 1-1 draw by the Democratic Republic of Congo in their first match at the World Cup.
Ronaldo was largely uninterested and ineffective throughout the match, just a day after his rival Lionel Messi scored a hat-trick in Argentina’s opening match.
This draw has led to Portugal and Ronaldo being heavily criticized for their performance, but also ridiculed.
Fans of the Democratic Republic of Congo enjoyed their team’s first appearance at the World Cup, as well as their first goal and point.
After the match, they were seen outside the Houston stadium doing Ronaldo’s iconic celebration, known as the “Siuu”.
The video of these fans mocking Ronaldo has already gone viral on social media.
