Florentino Perez’s Blacklist – Nine Players Set to Leave The Club

News

Florentino Perez has taken charge of a massive restructuring that includes the departure of up to nine players from the current Real Madrid squad.

The club president’s aim is to build a much more dynamic and competitive team, capable of fighting for any trophy.

Although the club has not yet confirmed who will take over as coach, it is certain that Alvaro Arbeloa will not continue to lead the team.

The club’s sporting plan points to a major change that will affect veterans, young players with poor prospects and players whose performance has been heavily questioned. This institutional change aims to reduce the wage bill and pave the way for a new generation of footballers with a greater hunger for glory.

Perez is personally leading the selection process, in which names like Andriy Lunin have been overshadowed after a very inconsistent year. The Ukrainian goalkeeper has failed to provide any guarantees as a replacement for Thibaut Courtois, losing the full trust of the coaching staff and management.

Added to this list of departures are long-serving players such as Dani Carvajal and David Alaba, whose respective contracts with the club will expire.

Both defenders have suffered a series of injuries which, combined with declining form, have put them out of the future plans. Los Blancos’ hierarchy understand that the cycle of these key players has reached its natural end, requiring an immediate generational change. Perez will not allow nostalgia to cloud the vision of a project that demands absolute physical and technical perfection.

The defense will undergo an almost complete reorganization, as Fran Garcia has also failed to convince anyone to keep him as a starting left-back. Perez will opt for continuity with Ferland Mendy and the emergence of Carreras, leaving the former Rayo player in a replaceable position. In the center of defense, Raul Asencio is another player who has been singled out due to his poor performance and various problems off the field.

Eduardo Camavinga is at the center of the biggest surprise, after years of waiting for his development, which has exhausted the patience of Real Madrid’s leaders. The French midfielder, who arrived as a promising player, seems to have reached the peak of his career prematurely and the club is looking for a profitable transfer. The reorganization of the squad spares no one, regardless of status or potential, prioritizing immediate utility and sustainable growth within the club’s tactical system.

Strategic borrowing and profits under Perez

The Real Madrid president’s plan also includes temporarily leaving young talents like Franco Mastantuono and Gonzalo Garcia to allow them to develop elsewhere. Perez prefers these promising players to gain valuable playing time at other clubs before deciding whether they have a permanent place in the first team.

Regarding returning players, the club is already working to bring back Victor Munoz, Nico Paz and their owned player, Endrick.

These reinforcements, along with the signing of a high-level center back and a creative midfielder, aim to balance a squad that has been very weak recently.

The aim is to surround established players with young players who can restore the intensity lost in the crucial stages of the season. The Real Madrid president knows that any move in the summer transfer window will be carefully scrutinised by a fan base that is looking for success.
