Tensions in Middle East push Georgina Rodríguez to leave Riyadh with Ronaldo’s children, reports say

Georgina Rodríguez, the partner of football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, has reportedly left Riyadh with their children and traveled to Madrid amid growing tensions in the Middle East.

According to several Spanish and international media reports, Rodríguez departed the Saudi capital aboard a private jet after security concerns increased following recent regional developments. The move reportedly came after reports earlier this month of a drone incident linked to Iran that allegedly targeted the US Embassy in Riyadh, raising fears of escalation in the region.

It is not yet clear whether Rodríguez and the children have permanently relocated to Madrid or if the trip is only temporary.

Rodríguez has shared moments from Spain on social media, posting photos with the children during a visit to Valle de Cuelgamuros, a historic site previously known as the Valley of the Fallen. She also attended a religious service there.

“One of the most beautiful masses I have ever attended,” Rodríguez wrote in an Instagram post.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo is also currently in Madrid, where he is recovering from an injury.

Al Nassr coach Jorge Jesus confirmed that the Portuguese star traveled to Spain to receive specialized medical treatment.

“Cristiano has traveled to Spain, as other players have done before,” Jesus said. “The injury requires treatment in Madrid with a specialist who works with him. We hope he returns soon and can help the team.”

Ronaldo’s injury appears to be more serious than initially expected, according to his coach.

The Portuguese forward currently plays for Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr and moved to Riyadh in 2023, where Rodríguez and the family have been living since his transfer. The recent developments have sparked speculation that the family may be temporarily staying in Spain while the situation in the region remains uncertain.
