Rodrigo De Paul is one of the most important players in Diego Simeone’s squad at Atletico Madrid. But, in recent weeks, it seems that the relationship between the Argentine coach, the leaders and the midfielder has “broken” after De Paul received permission from Simeone to be absent for family reasons in the match against Sevilla in the transfer, but on the other hand he was “caught” taking part of a festive event a few hours before the Atletico match was played.
A gesture which president Cerezo and technician Simeone did not like at all since that day he benched the Argentinian for three consecutive matches. He didn’t even play for a minute in two of them, with De Paul returning to the pitch only to play the final 30 minutes of Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Club Brugge.
The report already seems totally “cracked” with De Paul who can leave in January, while Juventus and Milan have been following him for a long time. The 28-year-old has a past in Serie A as he has been active with Udinese, the club from which Atletico Madrid transferred him in the summer of 2021 for the amount of 35 million euros.
