Former Manchester United ace Jaap Stam believes Lisandro Martinez must drastically improve his defensive game.
He pointed out in which segment the summer reinforcement of the “red devils”, who strengthened United for 55 million euros, could be corrected.
“He is a good footballer, I knew that when he got to the island, that people would talk about his height. “That can be a bit of a problem for a central defender if he is short, but he has shown quality and he balances that shortcoming.”
“Defensively, he is quite aggressive, but at times he has to be aware of his opponent, sometimes you shouldn’t be too aggressive, among other things, you learn that in the Premier League,” said Stam.
Martinez strengthened United this summer, coming from Ajax, for the Brazilian Anthony to do the same a few weeks later at the same distance.
