Chelsea reacted and created dangerous chances, with Marc Cucurella having a great opportunity in the 28th minute in a one-on-one situation, but was stopped by a decisive save from Giorgi Mamardashvili.

The equalizer came in the 35th minute, when Enzo Fernandez scored a brilliant free kick, with the ball ending up in the net after touching the left post for 1-1.

At the start of the second half, Chelsea thought they had overturned the score, but Cole Palmer’s goal was disallowed by VAR for offside.

Liverpool also had a goal disallowed for offside. Curtis Jones put the ball in the net in the 58th minute but was flagged for offside.

Liverpool came very close to the winning goal in the second half. Dominik Szoboszlai hit the left post with a powerful shot from the edge of the area, while in the 79th minute Virgil Van Dijk headed a corner kick over the crossbar.

In the end, despite the pressure and great chances, neither team found the second goal and had to settle for a point each.
