Melania Trump has spoken openly about the challenges of parenting while promoting her upcoming documentary, Melania. During the interview, she emphasized how deeply committed she remains to her son, Barron Trump, who is now 19 years old.
“You have to be there for your child at all times, especially when they need you — particularly at Barron’s age,” Melania Trump said in an interview with Fox Business.
Barron is currently in his second year at the Stern School of Business at New York University. However, according to Melania, he has not yet become fully independent. In September, Barron stopped living in Manhattan and moved back in with his parents, while continuing his studies through NYU’s campus in Washington, D.C.
Melania also revealed that her only son has become increasingly involved in his father’s political activities during Donald Trump’s second presidential term. She noted that during Trump’s first term — which began when Barron was just 10 years old — he was far less engaged in political matters.
“Barron understands politics and often advises his father,” she said. “Our conversations about it are completely different now.”
Her remarks highlight not only the evolving relationship between parent and child as Barron enters adulthood, but also the growing role he plays within the Trump family during a new political chapter.
