Next week will be the trial in which, in addition to Neymar, his parents will also appear as defendants, then the two clubs that were part of that transfer, the former presidents of Barcelona, Josep Maria Bartomeu and Sandro Rosell, as well as the ex-president of Santos Odilio Rodriguez.

Brazilian company DIS owned 40 percent of Neymar’s rights while he was part of Santosh. The company claims that the footballer was sold for much less than he was worth.

“The rights to Neymar were not sold to the best offer. There were clubs that offered 60 million euros each,” says DIS’s lawyer Paulo Nasser.

Barcelona announced that the transfer of Neymar from Santos generated 57.1 million euros, of which even 40 million euros ended up in the account of Neymar’s family. The 17.1 million euros that were paid to Santosh remained for DIS. They are demanding prison sentences from DIS for all those involved in this scandal and a fine of 195 million euros. A five-year prison sentence is being sought for Neymar.
