Nobel Prize Winner Appears in Public for the First Time in a Year‼️

News

Nobel Peace Prize laureate María Corina Machado made her first public appearance in a year on Thursday, stepping out onto the balcony of the Grand Hotel in Oslo after a dangerous journey and secretive escape from Venezuela, where she had been in hiding for more than a year due to a government-imposed travel ban.

Machado greeted supporters gathered outside the hotel, joining them in singing the Venezuelan national anthem. She later came down to the street to meet them in person.

This was her first public appearance since January, and it came just hours after the official Nobel Prize ceremony. Her daughter, Ana Corina Sosa Machado, accepted the prize on her behalf as Machado had been unable to arrive in time because of the long and risky journey.
