Real Madrid have confirmed that defender Dani Carvajal will not be part of the club next season.
The captain’s contract expires at the end of the season and they have agreed with the Madrid giants to part ways.
Real Madrid thanked the six-time Champions League winner through an official statement.
“Real Madrid and our captain Dani Carvajal have agreed to end this wonderful era at the end of the season. Real Madrid would like to thank one of the greatest legends of the club and the world of football,” the statement said.
Carvajal has been part of Real since 2002, where he has defended the galactic jersey for 23 seasons, while winning a total of 27 titles.
Meanwhile, he played 450 official matches, scoring 14 goals in the process.
