The major French club, Olympique Marseille, has officially changed the club’s logo for the first time in 22 years.
Like the previous design, the crest still features a blue color scheme with the letter “M” in its center, but fans think something is amiss.
“Think of the young, inherited in history, designed to leave a mark on its time,” was the post with a brilliant video from Marseille.
However, supporters of the French club reacted quickly online and the response was far from positive.
“What the hell? Why would you change something that looks really good?” wrote one fan, while another added: “I thought it was the Volkswagen logo…”
“Marseille was one of the few clubs that already had a modern, minimalist logo for years that looked absolutely beautiful. Why would they change it for this? It’s not even a retro logo…” wrote another fan.
“They bought this from a 15-year-old graphic designer,” was another comment against changing the club’s logo.
