Former midfielder Javi Martinez has advised Bayern Munich to be careful ahead of their Champions League return leg against Real Madrid.
The German team won 1-2 at the Santiago Bernabeu, and on Wednesday they will seek a ticket to the semi-finals at the Allianz Arena.
However, Martinez has urged Bayern not to try to defend because that will allow Real to get back into the game.
“If Bayern go to defend the result, then it will be a risk. They will face an opponent who will give everything, even though they are without Tchouameni who is a key player.”
“Bayern are the favourites to qualify, but nothing is decided. Real Madrid really wake up in these matches even if they are not at the Bernabeu,” he told “Sport”.
Meanwhile, the winner of this quarter-final will face the winner of the other quarter-final Liverpool – PSG, with the French as the favorite to advance further.
