Selena Gomez: “Leave Hailey Alone… There’s Space for Everyone!”
Selena Gomez stepped in after Hailey Bieber’s recent comments went viral – where Hailey said she isn’t “inspired by” other beauty brands. Many fans took that as shade toward Selena, but Selena actually came to Hailey’s defense.
In an Instagram Story she posted and later deleted – Selena wrote:
“Leave the girl alone. She can say whatever she wants. It doesn’t affect my life whatsoever. It’s about relevance, not intelligence. Be kind. All brands inspire me. There’s room for everyone. And hopefully, we can all stop.”
The drama began after Hailey’s Wall Street Journal interview, where she talked about how women are often pitted against each other and said she doesn’t “feel competitive with people that I’m not inspired by.”
That line came in response to a question about her brand Rhode being sold alongside many others at Sephora , including Selena’s Rare Beauty.
Just like Selena, Hailey also said she believes there’s room for everyone in the beauty space.
Sources close to Hailey confirmed her comments weren’t directed at Selena.
It seems both women are on the same page,choosing kindness and shutting down unnecessary drama in the beauty industry.
