“I was on the train and we stopped before the shelling. Those few hours felt like an eternity. I want to say only one thing, and that is that no rockets will break Ukraine. You can take away our streets, our houses, but you cannot take away our dignity, courage and desire for freedom. We will protect Ukraine. We will sing on the bridges as the people of Kyiv sang in the subway today. We will fight until we win,” was the message from Shevchenko, who posted a video of the attack on the bridge on his Instagram profile.
