The press conference before the Brazil-Croatia match a few days ago marked an interesting situation.
Namely, a cat climbed onto the press desk, and the spokesperson of the Brazilian national team literally threw it off the table.
The cat was certainly not injured, but it raised doubts among many Brazil fans that with that very move, Brazil imposed a handicap on itself that later translated into a defeat in the quarterfinals.
This video had millions of views and most of the comments were that Brazil had engineered their own defeat with this move.
“This cat cursed Brazil”,…. “The brand is karma!”…. “I’m sure, the cat was Brazil’s luck, but someone removed it”… were some of the comments from fans.
