Young Jacobs played so terribly in the 20 or so minutes he spent on the court that it could definitely affect his confidence.
He ran onto the field in the 12th minute after a forced substitution of the hosts, and just 11 minutes later he scored a penalty and earned a yellow card for the thoughtless foul, after knocking down the opponent with his hands in his own penalty area.
Just ten minutes later, there was another amateur offense by Jacobs, this time with a sharp start he knocked down the opposing player on the grass, to receive a second yellow and in the 34th minute he headed to the locker room due to suspension.
To make matters even more tragic, Venlo were outclassed 0-4 by Zwolle to end their two-game mini-run in the Dutch Youth Championship
