Liverpool manager Arne Slott has admitted his side were lucky to hold on to a 2-0 deficit after losing to Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.
Slot spoke after the match, emphasizing that PSG created more chances and could have scored more, but stressed that Liverpool still remains in the game.
“I think we should be lucky that we only lost 2-0 because they had more chances, although the first goal seemed difficult. But then they had more chances to score more,” Slot initially said.
“It’s great for us that we’re still in the game and can bring them to Anfield, and we know how important Anfield can be for us,” the Reds coach concluded.
The return match between PSG and Liverpool will take place next week, or more precisely on April 14th, at 9:00 PM.
