55-Men List – Ancelotti Reveals Brazil’s Preliminary World Cup List

News

Carlo Ancelotti has taken the first step in building Brazil for the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the US, Canada and Mexico, by determining the initial group of players he will have in mind.

According to UOL, the Italian coach has already drawn up a preliminary list of 55 players, while he has begun the process of shaping the final selection for the tournament.

The most notable development on this list is the inclusion of two veterans, Neymar and Thiago Silva, who have been out of the national team circle for a long period.

Their inclusion shows that Ancelotti is leaving open the possibility of bringing experience and leadership back into the team as he aims to find a balance between young and experienced players ahead of the World Cup.

For the 2026 World Cup, each national team will be able to have up to 26 players on the final roster, the same as in Qatar 2022. The minimum must be 23 players, while at least 3 of them must be goalkeepers.
