Lewandowski Heading Toward Barcelona Exit as His Wife Sends a Message to Fans

News Sport

Robert Lewandowski’s future at Barcelona appears increasingly uncertain. His wife, Anna Lewandowska, has hinted that this season could be the Polish striker’s last wearing the blaugrana shirt, even though the player himself has not yet decided where he will continue his career.

With 12 goals and three assists in 25 official matches this season, Lewandowski remains an important player for Barcelona. Despite approaching the age of 38, he continues to maintain excellent physical condition and his trademark goal-scoring instinct.

However, his long-term stay at Camp Nou looks difficult.

In an interview with One, Anna Lewandowska suggested that a departure next summer is a very realistic scenario.

“We’ll see how this season goes in Barcelona, because, let’s say, it will most likely be my husband’s last season here,” Anna said. “We’re enjoying every moment, every match with the fans, because we know that one day we won’t have this anymore.”

An Uncertain Future

When asked about Lewandowski’s next destination, Anna Lewandowska was more reserved, stressing that no final decision has been made yet.

“We don’t know what comes next, but this is the journey of a great athlete, and we are prepared for it,” she added.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona’s management plans to meet with Lewandowski at the end of March. The club has not ruled out a contract extension, but such a move would only be possible if the striker agrees to a significant salary reduction and a more secondary role within the squad.

Meanwhile, several clubs from Europe, the United States, and Saudi Arabia are closely monitoring the situation of the Polish forward.
