Manchester United have reportedly made strides in the race to sign Ederson, with the Brazilian midfielder said to have agreed personal terms with the English club.
According to transfer journalist Nicolo Schira, the 26-year-old has accepted a contract until 2031, with a salary of around 5 million euros per year.
United are now preparing to send an offer of around €45 million to Atalanta, with the aim of closing the deal and bringing the player to Old Trafford.
Ederson has been one of the most prominent midfielders in Serie A, attracting huge interest from several European clubs this summer.
Atletico Madrid is also in the running for him, who according to reports have also reached an agreement with the player for a contract until 2031, with a proposed salary of around 4.5 million euros per year.
However, Atalanta are said to have rejected the Spanish club’s previous offer of €35m, demanding a higher valuation for the midfielder.
Manchester United’s improved offer of around 45 million euros aims to surpass Atletico in this competition, to secure the services of the Brazilian, who with his performances in Italy has become one of the most sought-after players in his role this summer.
