Serie A STar Towards Man United – Clubs Start Negotiations

News

Manchester United are in advanced negotiations with Atalanta over the transfer of Ederson, with the Brazilian midfielder reportedly prioritising a move to Old Trafford this summer.

According to recent reports, talks between the two clubs are being described as very positive and have already passed the initial exploratory phase, entering into concrete negotiations on the structure of the agreement and additional bonuses.

The basic transfer value is believed to be around £34m, plus bonuses linked to the player’s performance.

The 26-year-old has reportedly made it clear to his agent that he “only wants United”, something that has strengthened the English club’s negotiating position in discussions with Atalanta.

Negotiations for Ederson are taking place independently of United’s other midfield issues, including the Bruno Fernandes situation, suggesting the club’s board are working on several profiles in parallel as part of their squad rebuild.

Ederson was absent from Atalanta’s last match, with reports linking his absence to transfer negotiations rather than any injury or tactical decision.

Manchester United’s recruitment chiefs Jason Wilcox and Christopher Vivell are said to have approved the transfer as part of a plan to strengthen the midfield.

The Brazilian has been one of Atalanta’s most important players in Serie A, standing out for his energy, defensive coverage and ability to advance with the ball, qualities that make him a very suitable profile for United’s midfield.
