Official: Tottenham Sign Andy Robertson

News

Tottenham have confirmed the signing of left-back Andy Robertson, who will join the London club on July 1, after his contract with Liverpool expires.

The Scotland captain leaves Liverpool after nine hugely successful years at Anfield, where he developed into one of the best and most consistent left-backs in European football.

Robertson joined Liverpool in 2017 and during his time with the Reds he won a number of prestigious trophies, including the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup and FA Community Shield.

In his final season with the club, he also held the role of vice-captain.

At international level, Robertson has held the captaincy of the Scotland national team since 2018.

Under his leadership, Scotland has secured participation in several European Championships, as well as this summer’s World Cup, returning the national team to football’s most prestigious tournament after a long absence.

With the arrival of Robertson, Tottenham secures experience, leadership and high quality on the left wing of defense for the coming seasons.
