Kylian Mbappe has been embroiled in the eternal Lionel Messi vs. Cristiano Ronaldo debate and wisely refused to take sides, as he revealed that his favorite match of his entire career was against Barcelona.

Messi and Ronaldo have dominated the world of football for the past two decades, winning almost every individual and team trophy and establishing an era to their name.

There has always been debate and differing opinions about who is better, with the latest to speak out about the legendary duo being Mbappe.

“Cristiano is my idol, but I also played with Leo. Playing against both of them, they are actually very different. They are not the same. If you tell me that Ronaldo has no talent or that Messi has not worked hard, you have never trained every day in your life,” Mbappe initially said.

When asked about his best career performance, Mbappe’s answer was clear. “The day I scored a hat-trick against Barcelona with PSG.”

At the World Cup, Mbappe revealed that he hopes to face either Cristiano Ronaldo or Neymar.

“I think it will be Cristiano’s last tournament. One of two,” concluded the French Real Madrid star
