Vinicius Junior is not planning to leave Real Madrid this summer and is expected to remain at the club next season.
According to Diario AS, the Brazilian star has decided to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu despite widespread speculation about his future and the club’s reported interest in names such as Michael Olise and Julian Alvarez.
The 25-year-old’s current contract expires in the summer of 2027, and talks over a renewal have been ongoing for months. So far, the parties have not reached a final agreement, mainly due to the Brazilian’s high financial demands.
With Florentino Perez having secured a new term at the helm of the club, Real Madrid is expected to intensify negotiations for a contract renewal after the end of the 2026 World Cup. The Madrid president considers Vinicius one of the main pillars of the club’s long-term project.
For his part, the Brazilian striker has repeatedly expressed his desire to continue his career at Los Blancos, although it remains to be seen whether the club will accept his financial terms.
A successful performance with Brazil at the 2026 World Cup could further strengthen Vinicius’ position in negotiations for a new contract with Real Madrid.
