AC Milan Rivals “Set Their Eyes” on Ardon Jashari

News

Juventus are looking for reinforcements for next season and among the names being considered in Turin is the idea of bringing in Ardon Jashari from their rivals, Milan.

Coach Luciano Spalletti wants to strengthen the midfield with another playmaker to join Manuel Locatelli and the 23-year-old Albanian is one of the options.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport , while Spalletti is focused on the end of the season and Sunday’s derby at San Siro, the club’s board is already working to create a squad to attack the Scudetto.

Spalletti’s plan for Juventus

The former Italy coach wants to create a more experienced Juventus in the future, with more charisma, but also technical quality and organization in midfield.

While Liverpool’s Alisson is an increasingly concrete option for the goalkeeper position, and Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva remains a strong desire, Spalletti also expressed the need to double down on the “game-planning” position.

The search is not for a replacement for Locatelli, who recently extended his contract, but for a player to play alongside him. It is preferable that it is not a player with the same characteristics as the captain, in order to provide tactical variations. Locatelli has become indispensable in the current 4-2-3-1 formation, where he shares midfield with Khephren Thuram.

Juventus will start from this base in the summer, but for next season they are also considering an upgrade to a 4-3-3 system, and Jashari fits here as an option for a withdrawn playmaker in front of the defense.

Possibility due to Jashari’s situation

Juventus had pursued Jashari last season when he played for Club Brugge, but Milan were quicker and after a long summer saga secured the Swiss international for 34 million euros plus bonuses.

The transfer was strongly supported by sporting director Igli Tare. However, an unlucky period followed for Jashari. After just a few training sessions, he suffered a serious fibula injury.

The long break slowed his adaptation and forced coach Allegri to reorganize the midfield, placing Luka Modric as the main playmaker. As a result, Jashari has played just 13 games this season, accumulating a total of 657 minutes in Serie A and the Coppa Italia, while spending 15 games on the bench. His limited minutes have caught the attention of Juventus.

In Turin, they estimate that the idea of the transfer could become concrete if Modric stays in Milan for another year, and Jashari decides to look for a new midfielder with more opportunities to play.
