AC Milan are ready to sell star winger Rafael Leao, due to financial pressures and a trophyless season, while rivals Inter are on course for the Serie A title.
The Rossoneri would consider offers starting at €70 million for the 26-year-old Portuguese striker, who has two years left on his contract.
This amount is seen as relatively low, considering his contribution this season with 10 goals and the ability to play as a winger or central striker.
Some of Europe’s biggest clubs have entered the race for him. From the Premier League, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool have shown interest, while from Spain, two giants – Barcelona and Real Madrid – are mentioned.
All of these clubs aim to close the deal before the World Cup to be held in the USA, as a good performance by Leao with Portugal could significantly increase his value, or in the event of an injury, decrease it.
Since his transfer from Lille in 2019 for 30 million euros, Leao has scored 80 goals for Milan at the San Siro. The Italian club aims to make the most of the sale, while the player himself wants a quick solution to his future.
