AC Milan Start Negotiations To Sign Arsenal Striker

News

AC Milan are reportedly set to make a move for Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus next season, having made several attempts to sign him in the past.

It’s no secret that the Rossoneri are in urgent need of a new centre-forward, as Santiago Gimenez and Niclas Fullkrug are often left on the bench, while Rafael Leao is pushed into a role that doesn’t suit him.

Max Allegri held a three-hour meeting with Milan’s management tonight to discuss the transfer market strategy for next season, and this includes finding a “killer” in front of goal.

According to Sky Sport Italia’s transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the latest name on Milan’s list is Gabriel Jesus.

It is not the first time that the Brazilian has been linked with the Rossoneri, as he was a target last summer and again in January.

The 29-year-old is only under contract with Arsenal until June 2027, so – considering he was bought for 52 million euros from Manchester City in 2022 – this is considered the last opportunity for the Londoners to sell him.

Gabriel Jesus made just 25 official appearances this season, scoring five goals and providing two assists.

Interestingly, he scored two of those goals in the Champions League against Milan’s arch-rivals, Inter.

He had a long absence after suffering a rupture of the main knee ligament (ACL) in January 2025, an injury that kept him out of the field for the better part of a year.
