American Rapper Poorstacy Dies After Medical Emergency in Hotel, at Age 26

American rapper Poorstacy, whose real name was Carlito Milfort Jr., has passed away following an incident that occurred on Saturday in Boca Raton, Florida. He was 26 years old.

The news of his death was confirmed by the Boca Raton Police Department, while TMZ was the first to report the tragic event. The cause of death has not yet been announced, and details surrounding the incident remain undisclosed.

According to available information, an ambulance was called to a hotel in Boca Raton on Saturday, from where Poorstacy was rushed to a nearby hospital.

A hotel employee told TMZ that it was a medical emergency and that Poorstacy was the only patient taken to the hospital. He had reportedly been staying at the hotel for ten days, together with his wife and child.

Throughout his career, Poorstacy became known for blending genres such as emo rap, hip hop, punk rock, and heavy metal, collaborating with many well-known musicians.

One of his most notable collaborations was with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, with whom he worked on the songs “Choose Life” and “Nothing Left.”

After the news of his passing was announced, Travis Barker paid tribute to his colleague and friend on Instagram.

Rest in peace, we will never forget you,” he wrote, accompanied by an emotional video of their performance of the song “The Hills Have Eyes.” He also shared a clip of their joint track “Choose Life.”

Poorstacy also found success in film, contributing to the soundtrack of the 2020 movie “Bill & Ted Face the Music,” which was nominated for a Grammy the following year.
