Barca Have Targeted Two Left-Wingers for This Summer

News

Barcelona are actively working on two main options for the left-back position, as uncertainty grows over Marcus Rashford’s long-term future.

According to Matteo Moretto, Barcelona’s priority now is to secure a winger who can play on both flanks, offer tactical flexibility and command lower wages than Rashford.

The club is reluctant to activate Rashford’s €30m buyout clause, with financial concerns and the wage structure influencing the decision-making process.

One of the profiles being considered is Joao Pedro, currently at Chelsea, who thanks to his versatility in the attack line is considered a strong tactical match for Barcelona’s system.

The second option is within Spain, with Barcelona monitoring local profiles such as Ez Abde and Jan Virgil, both valued for their dribbling and familiarity with La Liga football.

Real Madrid-linked prospect Victor Munoz is also liked, but any move for him is complicated due to his current situation.
