The French defender has become one of the most highly regarded modern defenders during his four seasons at Barcelona, although he has had mixed performances this season.
Catalan leaders are analyzing whether the 27-year-old should remain part of the team’s plans or whether this is the ideal moment to sell him, given the high value he continues to have on the market and the concrete interest from several major European clubs.
Kounde’s contract with Barcelona runs until 2030, but a possible sale would help the club financially and create more space for new signings during the transfer window.
