According to reports from “Ge Globo”, the Santos striker has not yet fully recovered from his calf injury and risks missing the match against Haiti, which takes place on Saturday.
The 34-year-old underwent medical tests on Monday and also missed the Brazilian national team’s training session, adding to doubts about his fitness.
Neymar was also unavailable for Brazil’s opening match at the World Cup, which ended in a 1-1 draw with Morocco. However, he was present on the bench to support his teammates.
Brazil’s technical staff will continue to monitor the Brazilian star’s condition over the coming days, while the final decision on his activation against Haiti is expected to be made closer to the match.
