Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has said that the club is not trying to bring in Tottenham player Harry Kane.
Bayern sold their top scorer Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona this summer and were rumored to be bringing in the striker from the London outfit.
“These are rumours. Now we are going in a different way. “Manchester City and Liverpool have been successful for years without the classic nine,” Salihamidzic told Zdeutsche Zeitung.
Bayern had to step up their attack after releasing Lewandowski, who asked to leave. The German champion brought Sadio Mane from Liverpool for 33.5 million euros, and extended the contract with Serge Gnabry.
“We could replace four players with almost the same quality in four positions. Such offensive quality is rare in Europe. Now it is the job of the coach and his team to fit him in,” said Bayern’s sports director.
