Real Madrid have reportedly contacted Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni as the club continues to evaluate possible options for the coaching position.
With little to fight for in La Liga and the future of Alvaro Arbeloa increasingly uncertain, the Spanish giants have begun to consider candidates who could take over the role on a permanent basis. Several names have been mentioned in recent weeks, including Cesc Fabregas, Jurgen Klopp and Didier Deschamps.
According to Spanish radio show “El Partidazo de COPE,” Real Madrid have already approached Scaloni for the position. The current Argentina coach, who led the national team to World Cup success, is being considered as part of the club’s long-term plans.
However, a potential move is not expected to be immediate, as Scaloni is expected to remain in charge of Argentina until after the 2026 World Cup.
President Florentino Perez is said to be carefully evaluating this option, as Real Madrid aims to determine the future direction of the bench.
Scaloni is also open to taking over the Madrid giants, but the current focus is on retaining the title of world champion, with Argentina considered one of the main favorites.
