“I’ve done so much for this club” – Mo Salah explodes with accusations toward Liverpool and Arne Slot

Mohamed Salah has made serious accusations following Liverpool’s 3–3 draw away to Leeds, a match in which he was left on the bench by manager Arne Slot.

The Egyptian forward — one of the club’s most important players of the past decade — said he feels Liverpool is now trying to push him out.

“I’m very, very disappointed. I’ve done so much for this club. Everyone has seen that over the years, especially last season.”

“It’s very clear that someone wants to put all the blame on me.”

Salah delivered the strongest statement of the night, saying his relationship with Slot is now “destroyed.”

“I’ve said many times before that I had a good relationship with the coach, and suddenly we no longer have any relationship at all. I don’t know why. It’s unacceptable for me. I don’t understand why this always happens to me.”

He added that he believes the club is not protecting him at all.

“I think if I were somewhere else, the club would protect their player. I don’t know why I’m in this situation now, but from my point of view, it feels like they’re throwing the player under the bus because now he’s the problem in the team. But I don’t think I’m the problem.”

“I’ve done so much for this club that I deserve the respect I’ve earned. I don’t need to fight every day for my place — I already earned it with my work. People will say I’m not bigger than the club — I’m not bigger than anyone. I’ve simply earned my position. This is football.”

The Egyptian also pointed to his record.

“I can’t believe what’s happening. I’m at this club scoring more goals than anyone else in this generation. Since I returned to the Premier League, I don’t think anyone has scored or assisted more than me. If I were somewhere else, everyone in the media would defend the player. I’m the only one who doesn’t get that.”

“I remember a while ago when Harry Kane wasn’t scoring for about 10 games and then scored twice. Everyone in the media said, ‘Harry will definitely score again.’ When it comes to Mo, he has to sit on the bench.”

“I had a meeting with the coach. He knows how I feel.”

In the end, Salah hinted that he could leave as early as the January transfer window.

“I thought I would renew my contract here and finish my career at this club, but that’s no longer the plan.”
