Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has shared an emotional message to the club’s fans, reflecting on his nine-year spell at Anfield.
In a heartfelt and grateful statement, Klopp stressed that his connection with the fans and the club was mutual, rejecting the idea that he deserves special thanks.
“We had a wonderful time and no one, I mean it with all my heart, no one has to thank me,” he said.
“I hear this often, but I’m the one who should be thankful for the same reasons. It was our life. We tried to do everything to achieve maximum success and sometimes we succeeded, sometimes we didn’t,” Klopp initially said.
The German coach added that the memories from this period will remain unforgettable for all those who were part of this journey.
“Nobody can look back on these nine years without smiling, because it was just something extraordinary,” Klopp concluded.
During his time at Liverpool, Klopp achieved historic successes, returning the club to the top of European and English football.
Under his leadership, the Reds won important trophies, including the Champions League and the Premier League, ending a 30-year wait for the English championship title.
Klopp’s message comes as an emotional reflection on an era considered by many fans to be one of the most successful and beloved in the club’s modern history.
