Achraf Hakimi, among the “stars” of Morocco, which turned out to be the biggest surprise of the World Cup, eliminating Spain. The former Inter player, currently part of PSG, scored the last penalty, even with a frightening self-confidence, approaching the famous “Cucchiaio” of Totti or Pirlo.
It was not, in fact, the fifth penalty, but the fourth, as, surprisingly, the Spaniards were not accurate in even one shot.
Hakim’s gesture, to be appreciated, however, there are those, very important, who have made fun of the Moroccan’s qualities for penalties. Not anyone but Antonio Conte, who won a title with Hakim at right-back. When talking about Hakim’s skills from 11 yards, he would declare:
“It is important that he does not execute penalties. I see him at the end of practice and I think, if we ever get to the penalty shootout, everyone should die before they let him shoot. It’s really a failure, worse than when I was playing.”
Now, Hakimi, with what he did against Spain, must have a message for Conte, be it friendly.
