Miss Universe Incident in Thailand: Miss Jamaica Falls on Stage and Is Taken to Hospital
A dramatic moment unfolded during the preliminary night of the Miss Universe pageant in Thailand when Miss Universe Jamaica, Gabrielle Henry, suffered a hard fall on stage. The contestant tripped while walking in high heels, and the incident was captured on video, quickly going viral across social media.
Following the fall, staff members rushed to assist her and carried her offstage on a stretcher. Organizers later confirmed that Henry was taken to Paolo Rangsit Hospital for medical evaluation. Fortunately, her condition is not life-threatening.
Raul Rocha, the owner of the Miss Universe organization, reassured fans through an Instagram update. He revealed that he visited Gabrielle in the hospital and that doctors confirmed she did not suffer any broken bones. She is undergoing additional tests to rule out further complications. Rocha expressed relief and thanked the public for their support and concern.
The Miss Universe Jamaica Organization also released an official statement saying that Gabrielle is receiving specialized care and that her team is by her side. They encouraged followers to stay positive and send their best wishes for her recovery.
Contestants and representatives from other countries have also shared supportive messages, expressing solidarity after the unexpected accident.
The final of the 74th Miss Universe competition will take place on November 21, when last year’s winner, Victoria Kjær Theilvig of Denmark, will crown the new titleholder. The incident has raised questions about stage safety and the conditions contestants face during high-pressure evening walk segments.
