That Josko Guardiol is an extraordinary football talent was known even before the World Cup, but after the explosion in Qatar, his current club RB Leipzig, as well as former Zagreb Dinamo, are preparing to reap the rewards. A few days ago, Real Madrid appeared on the list of interested parties, but as things stand, the Royal Club does not plan any transfers this winter. Despite this, claims Santi Auna, a reliable journalist of the French Futmercato, the Bundesliga has specific offers from three Premier League clubs.

Two years ago Guardiola refused to go to Leeds, believing that as an 18-year-old he was not ready to meet the demands of Europe’s most competitive football league. And now, when he became aware of his qualities, he loves island football more. The Manchester giants, as well as Chelsea, offer him an open door to the English elite scene.

City is the most generous and offers around 100,000,000 euros, plus bonuses. United offered 95,000,000 and Chelsea 5,000,000 less than the Red Devils. In theory, accepting any of these three offers would make Guardiol the highest-paid defender of all time. He would break the record of Harry Maguire, who Leicester sold to United for €87,000,000 in 2019.

After the championship, Dinamo Zagreb is already expecting a huge influx of money from Dominik Livakovic, who so far together with Jasin Bunu has shown the most dominant goalkeeping performance at the World Cup in Qatar, and the transfer of Guardiola will add to their coffers… When the Croatian champion sold Guardiol to Leipzig for 18,800,000 euros in the summer of 2021, he retained the right to another 20 percent of the difference between the amount Leipzig will receive from the next transfer and those 18,800,000.

According to that calculation, if Guardiol leaves the Red Bull Arena for 90,000,000 – and that seems to be the lower limit – Dynamo will earn 14,240,000 euros. If his next stop would be Old Trafford, 15,240,000 euros would go to the account of the Zagreb club, and if there was a transfer to Manchester City, which currently offers the most money, Dynamo’s income would amount to 16,240,000 euros.

Leipzig are protected as much as Guardiol has a valid contract until 2027 and does not have to rush and make the biggest exit transfer in the club’s history this January. The Germans have the luxury of waiting for the summer, and then probably the 20-year-old himself will want to move to one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

In any case, whenever that inevitable transfer happens, Dynamo will earn a similar amount of money from the percentages they have already received from the compensation.
