The Copa trophy is awarded to the best young player, and the title this time went to the Barcelona midfielder, but Nagelsmann believes there are “two better” than him.

The award was presented to 18-year-old Gavi by his teammate Pedri, who won the title a year earlier. Second place went to Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga, followed by Bayern’s Jamal Musiala and Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham.

“It is known that I look through the lens of the club, but I have my own opinion about it. And I would vote differently. Jamal Musiala and Jude Bellingham had a better season than the winner. From my point of view, both of them should be ahead of Gavi,” he said, but still praised the winner.

“He is a great player, with great talent. The award was not undeserved for him. He has an incredible winning mentality for his age”, he admitted.
