Germany national team coach Julian Nagelsmann has released his 26-man squad for the 2026 World Cup, combining experience with young talent in an attempt to return Germany to the top of world football.

In goal, Nagelsmann has trusted the experience of Manuel Neuer, who returns as the leader of the squad, along with Oliver Baumann and Alexander Nubel.

In defense, part of the list are important names such as Antonio Rudiger, Jonathan Tah, Nico Schlotterbeck and David Raum, while the presence of talents such as Nathaniel Brown and Malick Thiaw is also noteworthy.

Midfield and attack are expected to be Germany’s main weapons at this World Cup. Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz will lead the attacking department, supported by names like Kai Havertz, Leroy Sane, Deniz Undav and Leon Goretzka.

The list also includes young names considered the future of German football, including Nick Woltemade, Lennart Karl and Jamie Leweling, who have impressed with their performances in recent seasons.

After disappointments at recent World Cups, Germany now aims to restore its dominant identity on the international stage, while Nagelsmann seems determined to build a more aggressive, more modern and more hungry team for success.
