PSG Star Set To Miss 2nd Leg VS Bayern Due to Injury

News

It is now confirmed that in PSG’s 5-4 victory over Bayern Munich in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final, Achraf Hakimi was injured shortly before the end of the match and will miss the return leg on Wednesday in Munich.

According to French media reports, the 27-year-old Moroccan suffered a thigh injury. The incident occurred in the 89th minute, when Hakimi, after a challenge, suddenly collapsed.

Moments earlier he had stretched his right leg out wide to take the ball from Bayern Munich player Konrad Laimer.

Immediately afterwards, the full-back grabbed the back of his thigh and lay down, while PSG’s medical staff reacted immediately.

Initially it was thought that it could be cramps, but television footage quickly raised doubts, as everything looked more like a pull in the hamstring muscles, a more serious injury that activated the “alarms” at the Parisian club.

The situation became even more difficult because coach Luis Enrique had already used all three substitutions at that point. Thus, Hakimi was forced to continue the game despite the obvious problems.
