Cristiano Ronaldo officially denies the rumors that he was close to leaving the national team when coach Fernando Santos decided to bench him for the 1/8 challenge against Switzerland. The striker emphasizes that nothing written in the media is true while adding that the national team is too united to be divided by worthless news.
“This group is too united to be torn apart by external forces. We are a very brave nation and we are not intimidated by opponents. This is about a real team that will fight for its dream until the end”, said Ronaldo.
