Mathieu Valbuena has said that he is happy for Karim Benzema, who won the “Golden Ball” a few days ago and with whom he has not spoken since 2015 after accusing him of blackmail in the “Sextape” scandal.
On November 24 last year, a French court sentenced striker Benzema to a one-year suspended prison term and a 75,000 euro fine.
However, in the end, Valbuena behaved like a true sportsman and congratulated Benzema, which may come as a complete surprise to many.
“I’m happy for him, he deserves it. In life you have to be honest. I have always known the difference between a sporting life and a non-sporting one. He had an incredible season.”

“When you play in a club like Real Madrid for so many years and you play well, I wouldn’t be objective if I said he didn’t deserve it,” said Valbuena.
We recall that the Real Madrid striker was accused of blackmailing his teammate Mathieu Valbuena with a sex video in 2015.
Benzema and four other people asked Valbuenas from 50 to 100 thousand euros not to publish the controversial recording.
