These tears you see in the photo are those of a man full of vices, mistakes, sins and many other things.” Former Inter midfielder Fredy Guarin reveals himself in a post on Instagram. “Hello world, today I want to show how I am, with an open heart, not to get understanding or followers – writes the former midfielder accompanying the words with an image of him in tears -. I do it with the intention that I can be useful to someone”.
A year and a half ago, Guarin was arrested by Colombian police after a fight with his parents. “We are always in time to open the door to God and let him guide our soul and heart,” he writes.
Fredy Alejandro Guarín Vásquez was born on June 30, 1986 and is a Colombian professional soccer player. A versatile player in midfield, but at his best in the centre, as a destroyer or on the right. He started his career with Envigado, then had a short spell in Argentina and played two years in France with Saint-Étienne. He made his name with Porto in Portugal, where he spent four seasons and won ten major titles, including three Primeira Liga championships and the 2011 Europa League. Guarín played for Inter and represented Colombia at the 2011 Copa América and the 2014 World Cup.
