Fierce reactions after last night’s banner displayed by Celtic fans.
They met against the Ukrainian champion Shakhtar, who play their matches in Poland, and a move by the most ardent Celtic fans caused general chaos, both on social networks and in the media.
Namely, at a time when the whole of Britain was mourning the death of Queen Elizabeth, a group of Celtic fans called “The Green Brigade” displayed a banner in the stands with the text… “Fuck the Crown”, clearly alluding to the Queen.
This attracted a lot of attention, and it would not be surprising if Celtic received some punishment for the thoughtless move of their fans for such a shameful gesture.
