The summer transfer window officially ended last night in Spain, and Atlético Madrid did not make any surprises.
In the previous weeks, it was speculated that Atlético could bring even Cristiano Ronaldo, who allegedly offered himself to the leaders of this club through his agent Jorge Mendes, but in the end nothing came of it.
Diego Simeone held a press conference this morning before tomorrow’s visit to Real Sociedad, and of course the most talked about was the transfer window that just ended.
One of the reporters asked Simeone if Atletico were really close to signing Ronaldo this summer, but his response was a clear indication that he was in no mood to talk about it.
“Tomorrow we have a very difficult match in San Sebastian. We will only talk about that,” said Simeone.
