News

Nike has officially released the long-awaited commercial for the 2026 World Cup, a spectacular production titled “Rip the Script”, which has immediately captured the attention of fans around the world.

The commercial, which lasts about six minutes, is constructed like a big-budget Hollywood film, where some of the biggest stars in world football defy the prepared script and choose to play football spontaneously, showing the creativity and instinct that characterizes them on the field.

One of the most commented moments of the video comes when the camera moves to a film set, where Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is seen sitting quietly on the side of the stage.

But the real surprise is next to him, alongside the Norwegian is the famous Hollywood actor Channing Tatum, dressed in the same uniform, with a blonde wig and Haaland’s characteristic hairstyle.

In the commercial, Tatum plays the role of the attacker’s “understudy”, creating a humorous scene that has made the rounds on social media.

The American actor manages to impressively imitate Haaland’s iconic look, recreating his signature style that has made him one of the most recognizable figures in modern football.

The “Rip the Script” ad also features a large number of world football stars and is considered one of Nike’s most ambitious campaigns in the run-up to the 2026 World Cup.

By combining football, humor, and elements of the film industry, the sports company aimed to convey the message that the most beautiful football is born when players follow their instincts and not a predetermined script.

The scene with Haaland and Channing Tatum has become one of the most viral moments of the commercial, leading many fans to humorously ask: “Who is the real Haaland?”
