Fear at Inter, has Calhanoglu signed with the Turkish giant

News

Alarm bells have started ringing again at Inter about the future of Hakan Calhanoglu, but this time not about a possible move to Galatasaray.

According to reports from Turkey, Fenerbahçe presidential candidate Hakan Safi has reached a preliminary agreement with the Turkish midfielder for a three-year contract, with an option to extend for another season.

The rumors grew even stronger after the statement of the player’s agent, Gordon Stipic, who confirmed that he had held meetings with Safin.

“I have not only limited myself to conversations with Hakan Safi, but I have also met him in person. We have been friends for a long time and we have discussed several footballers, especially one of them. If Safi wins the elections, we have an agreement for my most important footballer,” Stipic declared.

Meanwhile, Hakan Safi himself has fueled further speculation with a video that has gone viral on social media, where he is heard saying: “We announce the transfer of Calhanoglu to Fenerbahçe.”

Although this is seen as an electoral move on the eve of the presidential elections in the Turkish club, the statement has caused numerous reactions.

Just a few days ago, Turkish media reported that Calhanoglu was willing to return to Galatasaray, the team he has supported since childhood, even accepting a salary reduction from 6.5 to 5 million euros per season.

Now, the possibility of him ending up at Fenerbahçe’s eternal rivals has angered Galatasaray fans, who have reacted harshly on social media.
