Jude Bellingham has broken his silence following Real Madrid’s painful Champions League exit to Bayern Munich.
The English midfielder reacted on social media, expressing his deep disappointment and admitting that the team failed to meet the fans’ expectations in a chaotic match, accompanied by a controversial red card.
Bellingham reflected on a difficult evening at the Allianz Arena, where Real Madrid were eliminated 6-4 on aggregate, after losing 4-3 in the second leg.
The match took a dramatic turn towards the end when Eduardo Camavinga was shown a second yellow card for delaying a free kick. This moment proved decisive, breaking the balance of the match and allowing the German team to take advantage.
Despite good performances from Arda Guler and Kylian Mbappe, the late sending-off significantly affected the fate of the match and ended the Madrid team’s European dream.
Through an Instagram post, Bellingham shared his sincere emotions, thanking fans for their continued support and promising to come back stronger.
“It wasn’t enough, but we came out with pride. Madridistas, we know we’ve disappointed you, but we’re always grateful for your support.”
“The good times, which you deserve, will return. We have no choice but to end this season as strongly as possible. Bye Madrid,” the Englishman wrote.
